Guidelines for grants for individuals

• 1. Recipients must be female, 18 years or older, and a legal, U.S. citizen.
     
  2. Recipients will live in the D/FW Metroplex.
  3. Grants are for one-time assistance, not for ongoing financial challenges.
  4. Funding is never given for late fees, penalties or fines.
  5. Applicants do not receive cash.  Monetary awards are given directly to the service provider, school, hospital, business, etc.  Funding is never guaranteed simply because a request is given.
  6. Third party substantiation of the facts (e.g., from an employer, pastor, attorney, or physician may be requested).
  7. No grants will be given for businesses, or for loans.
  8. Every inquiry will receive a response in a timely manner.
  9. First Friday boardmembers and families will not receive benefits from donations to First Friday or HandUp Program.
